Lactation Support from Jillian Carter, RN, IBCLC

Working with me

I am accepting new clients who are currently pregnant with due dates in all upcoming months.

You’ll establish care during your pregnancy with a one-on-one Prenatal Consult in the office or virtually. Our classes will boost your confidence and give you education and tools to feel well-prepared. Once baby arrives, I’ll come to your home for an Initial Consult to get things off to a good start. You’ll have Follow-up Consults in the office or virtually on a standard schedule through the first year, or as long as you need!

Get started by booking a Prenatal Consult for 2-4 months prior to your due date.

At this time, I am also accepting a very limited number of new clients who have already delivered. We’ll meet for an Initial Consult at my office, and continue with Follow-up Consults on our regular schedule through the first year.

Click the button below to view availability for an Initial Consult. If no appointments are showing within the next week, any available slots have been filled.

I am also offering classes, open to all.

Oh, you’re a planner who likes all the details? Same.

The typical experience goes something like this:

  • During pregnancy, about 2-4 months prior to your due date, you’ll have a Prenatal Consult, in the office or virtual. (Note, I tend to book up, so you’ll want to get this scheduled months in advance.) We’ll get to know one another and talk through any anticipated bumps in the road. You’ll put my number in your phone and I’ll put your due date on my calendar.

  • In addition to your one-on-one Prenatal Consult, you’ll take classes in our Prenatal Series. These classes provide education on what to expect through your breastfeeding journey, from the intense early days all the way through weaning.

  • When you deliver, send me a message and we’ll schedule your home visit for a day soon after you’re home from the hospital. At that Initial Consult with baby, we’ll address common concerns for those early days, like ensuring baby’s getting enough to eat and latching is comfortable.

  • If you need extra appointments at any point, we’ll add those in, but generally, you’ll come to the office with baby around 3 weeks and 6 weeks, and then choose either an office visit or virtual consult for 12 weeks, 6 months, 12 months, and whenever you wean.

More about what appointments include and prices for self-pay clients can be found here. Insurance info is here.
